This sculpture tells the story of resilience in the face of hardship. The faceless figure, stripped bare and vulnerable, cradles a stitched, broken heart, symbol of pain, loss, and healing. Draped in a blue blanket that becomes a cape, the figure carries the quiet strength of those living with chronic illness, cancer, grief, or mental health struggles.
The words “Bent Not Broken” are imprinted across the cape, a reminder that even through suffering, we endure. We may bend under the weight of hardship, but we are never broken.
Created to honor resilience and hope, this piece is a tribute to anyone who has faced life’s hardest moments and continues to rise with courage.
This was hand sculpted and painted with love by Anni with a handmade wooden stand made by John.
