This striking hand-turned bowl is a true labor of love, taking John over 20 hours to create. Crafted from rich Black Walnut and warm Maple, the patchwork design highlights the natural contrast of the woods, making each angle reveal something new. The fitted lid adds both beauty and function, allowing the piece to be used for storage, serving, or as a one-of-a-kind centerpiece.
Measuring 10 ¾” wide by 4 ¾” tall, the bowl has been carefully finished with food-safe carnauba wax and orange oil, giving it a soft, natural sheen and a smooth, touchable surface. Every curve was shaped by hand on the lathe, celebrating both craftsmanship and the character of the wood itself.
